I’M TIRED OF LOOKING AT HALF-NAKED PORCHES. There I said it. So I’m doing a thing and I think you should too. Trust me when I say that if high waisted jeans and TikTok dances can be a trend… this can too! It’s time to ditch the doormat y’all! SCANDALOUS, I know…. But there’s a better option. A FANCY option! AREA RUGS. 

Yep! I’ve got a whole rack of them that I collect like trophies to deck my door and pull together any look! They add color, texture, pop and wow-factor! And let’s face it, they cover up those spots you’ve been meaning to pressure wash for the last 3 years. Check out these simple before and afters to see just what I mean! They are my step 1 and the “base layer” to all of my porch decor.

Side notes~  

*To pull this off MEASURE twice, order once! Make sure your rug fits the area you’re decorating! I love 5x7, 4x6 and 3x5 because they fit my porch the best. 

*I prefer those labeled “indoor/ outdoor” rugs because they seem to be the most weather resistant. I’ve only actually ever used one that was not and it slightly faded in the sun, but I still use it because now it looks “rustic”  

*I live in a pretty humid region so I hang them over a fence in the sun for a day or so to make sure they’re completely dried out before storing them in my garage. I never wrap them in plastic because it can trap moisture and cause mold and mildew.
